ATTORNEY LOUIS J. MANCUSO is originally from Trenton, New Jersey where he attended The College of New Jersey and graduated with honors from the Alpha Phi Sigma Criminal Justice Honor Society. Lou attended law school at California Western School of Law in San Diego, California. While in law school, he received the American Jurisprudence Award for Remedies and was a member of the Pro Bono Honors Society. He was also a California State Bar Certified Legal Intern for several San Diego law firms, including the Office of the Public Defender and the Law Office of Joshua D. Gruenberg.
Lou was admitted to the California State Bar in 2003. He is also admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Southern District of California. He is a member of the San Diego County Bar Association.
Mr. Mancuso is a member of BNI (Business Network International | Mission Valley Synergy Chapter, and a former member of Carlsbad Wave of Success chapter).
He accepts referrals through the San Diego County Bar Association, Lawyer Referral Information Service (“LRIS”) – Modest Means program, ARAG, CLC, & Union Plus.
Lou has litigation experience in the federal and state courts of Southern California. He is a persuasive advocate and has successfully represented clients in criminal, civil, family, and appellate matters. Lou formerly represented several RE/MAX franchisees in litigation, arbitration, and transactional matters.
He also has in-house counsel and regulatory compliance experience. He counseled a national specialized healthcare conglomerate, which had several affiliated companies regulated by federal and state administrative agencies, including a PPO insurance company, third-party administrator (TPA), utilization review entity (UR), and, a California Managed Care Plan (HMO).
Lou is an objective creative problem solver, and an excellent negotiator and mediator. He has resolved several multi-million dollar lawsuits in mediation.
In his free time, Lou enjoys playing and listening to music; sports including surfing, biking, sailing, snowboarding, and golfing; cooking; Rosetta Stone; and, reading.
